Comments: Hi buddies, I just found this site, lets see what happens!!!! My name is Lee Nickel, I was known as "Nick" during my time in the CB's. I joined 9/6/1946 & discharged 5/19/1950. Went to boot camp at Bainbridge , MD. then Little Creek, Va.(CB # 103), then on Port Hueneme to Water Pureification and Distallation School, back to Little Creek then to Argentia, Newfoundland CB#1514 for two years, Great time while there - most weekends in St. John's - I very much enjoyed "the newfies", (I went to visit Newfoundland a couple of years ago), then back to Little Creek, VA. I'd like to hear from anyone who enjoyed that time of their life in The Seabees with me.

Comments: Hello fellow Seabees!!
I signed the guest book sometime ago.
I was with MCB 8 FEB 61 to MAR 64, MCB 7 FEB 66 to FEB 68, and MCB 5 SEP 75 to OCT 78.
Finally retired in DEC 1983.
Would like to hear from any of you. I still go through my cruise books from time to time. But age is finally getting to and have a hard time remembering all the great people I served with.
Had some really great times. One of the best was building the barracks in Christ Church, New Zealand.
Roland TanTin was my good friend as well as many of the others.
