Great site and Seabees will live forever in my heart. I owe my existence, honor, and intergrity to them. I was in MCB1 1966-1969. I am looking for some help. If any of you can remember I was a CE2 working with the radio and tel communications at Red Beach and Danang . Drove around in a jeep with my AK-47, did not trust the M-16. Played Navy Baseball the only Seebee who made the quonset Point team - played agianst all are colleges. I need witnesses of me falling of 150 piling at Red Beach, crawling under fire for 100 yards with John Bertitti to fix a line and then burning out a pole when the gunny shot his headlights on me on the pole and then the bullets started to whizz all around me. Do any of you remember the quarry at PHU Bai when we got hit in 68. I was in main bunker with 106, 50 cal, and M60s. I called in an attack by the VC on the Marine howlitzer battery and then the VC started at us but broke off when they saw the gun ships. I was also the one in 12-68 who set off flares onto the gook RVN train which burned and we had to do mass punishment by Lt. s***bird Josti. I also burned out on a perimeter pole and got racked full of splinters and was picking them out for months. Had one fellow Seabee who remebered seeing me. I have had 7 knee and two index.html operations and two benign cancer tissue removals from side of my face - probably due to Agent Orange and Creosote. If you can please help - send memories to zmann106@aol.com Paul Zdunek - "CAN DO" Added: November 27, 2005 |
